Dutch Choices Foundation to learn from participants

On 22 October 2012, Stichting Ik Kies Bewust – the Dutch Choices Foundation – will hold a meeting for participating companies. It will provide an opportunity to kick off the new consumer campaign and allow the Foundation to engage the participants in thinking about what steps the Choices initiative should take in the future. Particular attention will be given to how communication on healthy eating can be improved, and how the foundation can further encourage healthy product innovation.

“Het Vinkje”, the Dutch Choices logo, to be on TV in 2013

A national television campaign aimed at increasing consumer awareness of the Dutch Choices logo  - “het Vinkje” - will air in The Netherlands in 2013. Following a kickoff in early November 2012, the campaign will run in full as of January 2013. “This will be a good opportunity for the  participating companies to join in with their own communication activities”, says Sjaak de Korte, Chairman of the communications committee of the Dutch Choices Foundation. Indeed, “January – the period when everyone makes good resolutions - is an excellent time for participating companies to further boost the campaign by including “het Vinkje" in their own communication activities” explains De Korte.

De Korte therefore invites all participants to extend to early 2013 any communication activities involving the Choices logo that they have planned for the end of 2012. “Joint communication will ensure that the logo is optimally promoted among Dutch consumers. The Foundation will also support participants by providing them with a digital toolkit with standard communication materials next year.”
